Sara Fleiszig

Sara Fleiszig is a skilled imaging specialist and archivist with a strong background in cultural heritage preservation. She has established archival standards and file management workflows for notable institutions, including The Image Centre and Edward Burtynsky’s ARKIV360. Currently, she serves as a digitization specialist at The Image Centre, where she focuses on the preservation and digital transformation of a collection of photographs from The New York Times.

Her artistic practice examines the intricate relationship between mother and daughter through the viewpoint of nature's cycles. Her process emphasizes tactile engagement and organic materials, fostering a raw, direct connection between her images and the viewer. By grounding her work in natural forms and textures, she invites a more intimate, unmediated experience that reflects the quiet, enduring bonds between generations and the earth itself.
